Show sold-out items before guests order

Menulio lets you mark menu items unavailable when a dish sells out, a drink runs low, or a special is finished. Guests see the latest availability on the QR menu before they ask staff or try to order.

Why accurate availability matters

Sold-out items create friction at the table, counter, or truck window. Guests choose a dish, staff explain it is gone, and the order starts over. With Menulio, unavailable items stay visible but clearly marked, so guests understand what can actually be ordered.

This is useful for restaurants with seasonal prep, cafes with daily pastries, bars with rotating drinks, and food trucks that sell through limited batches during service.

Fewer awkward substitutions

Guests can see when an item is unavailable before building their order around it.

Less staff confusion

The public QR menu matches what the kitchen, bar, or truck can serve right now.

Good times to update availability

  • A special sells out before the end of dinner service.
  • A cafe runs out of a pastry, milk option, or seasonal drink.
  • A bar rotates a tap, bottle, cocktail, or happy-hour item.
  • A food truck sells through prep before the line ends.
  • A dish has an ingredient issue and should not be ordered today.
